Description

I have a litter of puppies for sale that is for sale. They were whelped at the end of October and I would like for them to be sold as puppies to be started by the buyer. This is a litter of 8 puppies. 3 males and 5 females. (Two females and one male is accounted for and one female sold as of writing this advertisement). All are healthy well fed excited puppies. Already showing signs of energy and wanting to explore. As of now they have their first 5 way shot. I am not registering them with UKC yet as to let the new owner decide but I will provide all paperwork needed for that.

Sire comes from lineages including Tekoa Mountain Sunrise and Pinekone Max Jr. Dam comes from lineages including Pinekone Max Jr. and Tekoa Mountain Patriot and Crescent City Dexter.

The parents and other dogs that I’ve breed in this line have primarily done AFTCA trials along with some natural quail hunting. We have not focused mainly on wild birds but birds that have stuck around from trials or such have been used. Hips on them should be good.

This is the second litter from this sire and dam pairing. Her first litter did very well. I have 2 of her previous litter still.

The photo I have posted here in the advertisement are a few that are still available.

Upon contact I can provide photos of the older dogs I have with them now as what to potentially expect with these pups. Along with photos of the parents.

Feel free to reach out for photos of them, along with the sire and dam, along with photos of the pups now. My work schedule is very inconsistent so please leave a voicemail if you call, or text me as that works better for me. Thank you.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.

🧠 Final Thought

Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Do your homework on both the breed and the breeder. Make sure your decision is informed, confident, and in the best interest of the dog.
